This can be especially true if you use the stair lift quite often. Just be sure, if you have decided on a battery powered unit, to ask the dealer how much battery life the unit is expected to get. Also, it may be a good idea to check on the price of replacement batteries. If you have to replace the batteries several times each year, and they are expensive, then finding an electrical unit with a battery back-up may still prove to be more cost worthy.

No matter which power option you choose, finding a stair lift of good quality and safety is of the utmost importance. You may need to spend just a little extra to ensure that the unit is safe and effective, but it will be well worth extra money spend to know that the stair lift you have chosen will transport you safely.
