Chronic fatigue syndrome is also called as myalgic encephalomyelitis and is a condition that causes extreme fatigue which does not get better with bed rest and can become worse because of any physical or mental activity. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome affects many systems in the body including muscular system, neurological and immune system of the body. There is no known cause for the disease and not a single test to diagnose the syndrome and as such it becomes hard to diagnose. Due to this, chronic fatigue syndrome has social stigma attached to it which has been reported by many patients. It is commonly viewed that the patient wants attention or is suffering from hypochondrias or phobias. Chronic fatigue syndrome can affect people of all races, gender and age. Women are more prone to be affected by it than men and it usually strikes people between the ages of 40-50 years.

Chronic fatigue syndrome as the name suggests causes extreme fatigue which is unexplained and is not because of any illness. To be termed that the person is suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome, the person has to have fatigue for more than 6 months along ...
... with at least 4 other symptoms such as, tender lymph nodes, difficulty in sleeping, depression, short term memory loss, tenderness of muscle, sore throat, headache and difficult in thinking etc.

The causes of fatigue syndrome are not known and as such there are many theories as to its cause. There are many assumptions such as, it could be caused after someone has suffered from bronchitis, hepatitis, intestinal illness or glandular fever. Stress is considered to be another factor which can trigger this syndrome. Till now, there has been no concrete suggestion that can cause this condition.

There is no single cure in traditional medicine that will cure chronic fatigue syndrome. There are medications for symptomatic relief for various conditions associated with this disease. The patient is given medication for anxiety, depression, any infections, pain and fever. Alternative treatments like yoga, acupuncture, massage, self hypnosis and stretching also provide some relief from the symptoms. People with chronic fatigue syndrome are also asked to take regular exercise in moderate levels and to break the exercise routine in 2 to 3 sessions each day so that they can take rest between the sessions.

LTA personality development which is developed by Linda David is the name of energetic distance therapy that has the cure for chronic fatigue syndrome. LTA stands for liberty, truth and ability. This therapy argues that the cause of all the problems in life is not in the body or mind but actually in the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind has millions of patterns and programmings which have matter that is invisible to the naked eye. This matter has certain encoding and the content of the matter determines the problems a person has in his life. Linda David has the psychic ability to perceive any blockages and remove them from the subconscious mind. Once the pattern in the subconscious mind that causes chronic fatigue syndrome has been broken down, the person will be cured of the illness.
