X Factor Contestant Showcases Lingerie

X Factor contestants generally go on the programme to reveal their singing and performing talents. However, one such individual has been showing a little more of herself than that.

Michelle Barrett caused waves while on the show by causing judge Tulisa Contostavlos to breakdown in tears because she was so moved by the performance.

Meanwhile, it has since emerged that the mother-of-four used to be a lingerie model for Ultimo. Months before stepping in front of the cameras to take part in the ITV talent show, she had won a place in the firm's Real Woman campaign and images of her sporting bras and knickers were pasted up on billboards around the country.

Speaking about her experience of modelling, she told the Sunday Mirror: "Posing in just your pants is very full-on. But on the day the shoot was very prof¬essional and the photo-graphers put me at ease really ¬quickly."

Meanwhile, talking about her decision to go on X Factor, she remarked: "Singing, it really is in my blood, I've always wanted to do it, since I was really small, but having four kids, you think that's it, that's the end of that but ...
... I never gave up on it.

"My family are brilliant, they've always said you should go on X Factor and for years I said, 'yeah yeah', but I think the time is right now, that I could pursue it you know."

As well as fitting in auditions for the TV show and donning Ultimo bras for the lingerie photo shoots, the busy mum has been looking after youngsters Abbie, Alex, Stephen and Holly, who are aged between 11 and two. The youngsters travelled down to London to see her take part in the singing contest.

So, the 31-year-old from the town of Leixlip in north-east County Kildare, Ireland, has certainly had plenty to keep her occupied.
