Freshnewtracks - Most Popular Dubstep

Dubstep is a genre that originated in southern part of London as the music of electronic generation. Its sound is essentially described by the musicians as a production of defining bass lines, which are coiled tightly together with experimented drum patterns, sometimes segmented tracks and occasional vocals. The origins of the popular Dubstep dates back to late 1990s when people were keen to experiment with the electronic music.
The main characteristic of these musicians and the form of music is the use of bass which is very extensive and the grooves and bass-lines produced in this music are of more importance. The songs were mostly developed in the minor key with a three tone interval in a single riff and a very prominent rhythm accompanied by the characteristic use of bass-line and groove. The music draws its influence from the early techno that arrived in the 1980s and the dubbed music mostly played on 2-step garage records.
The rhythm section of the tracks mostly achieved by experimentation of several styles and fusing half-step rhythms creating an entirely different feel, which would make the people sway to ...
... the tune. The drums and the percussion experiments mostly began in the 2000s and it saw different experiments with muffled voicing of the snare, hi hats and bass drums with no use of any slashes and crashes. The 2000s also saw different experiment with the music co-ordination such as the percussions were made to go at half speed while the bass-lines were made to go at double speeds so as to give the notion of faster groove. The percussions loop however are not based on the traditional four-by-four beat, but mostly extend to a higher beat loop pattern mostly inherited from the techno music.
The popular Dubstep have grown to mainstream and have become quite the favorites for pop artists like Britney Spears, Madonna etc… Dubstep gained worldwide recognition in the late of the decade 2000 with several artists coming to the mainstream, who were essentially Dubstep artists such as La Roux who broke the records with the track “In for the Kill” remixed by the famous Dubstep producer Skream. Some of the other mainstream artists like Rihanna, Snoop Dogg and Hank Shocklee from the Public Enemies also collaborated with Dubstep producers for their tracks thus promoting the Dubstep culture among the public and at the same time fusing the genre with pop.
