Doctors worry for mental disabilities than physical disabilities, since curing a physically related issues is much easier than curing an individual affected mentally.
Health related issues can appear due to many reasons and for one to realize it, sometimes it takes years and sometimes parents would identify the problem during the birth of their child. When any health problems affect the children, it not just affects them, it even affects their parents. Parents go through the mental trauma after knowing about their child being in pain. However, they have to recuperate faster so that they would be able to handle their kids well, and concentrate more on the child’s problems and try to find solutions to it and help them recover faster. It’s up to the parents to contact the perfectly appropriate ...
... specialist, who could cure the problems present in their child. Only they would know the reason for that particular health related issue, what has aggravated it to this extent and how can it be cured, as well as the after affects of it.
Certain disorders are mentally affected, for which doctors need to be more careful so that it does not affect the other body parts, creating more health related issues for the child. One such disorder found in children is, Down syndrome, which is a chromosomal disorder caused by the presence of an extra 21st chromosome in the body of a child, which is known to be the most recognizable form of mental disability present in a child. This particular disorder can be identified during pregnancy or in a baby at birth, which can vary widely from person to person depending on their genetic history, as it can be transferred to the child from either the paternal side or from the maternal side.
Various physical characteristics develop gradually, that helps the parents recognize the disorder present in their child from their early growing days itself. Some or all the physical characteristics that develop in a down syndrome individual are, an abnormal chin, an unusually round face, protruding or oversized tongue, almond shaped eyes, up slanting separation between the upper and lower eyelids, shorter limbs, poor muscle strength and a larger than normal space between the big and second toes, all these physical disabilities help the parents recognize the disorder present in the child, which needs to be treated as early as possible so that the growing days of the child are not affected by it. By rectifying it by the specialists at the initial period itself, it may help the child grow normally like many others.
