Have you ever stopped to think over what uses rubber moldings are put to? Most products made of rubber that you can think of offhand are of specific shapes and dimensions. Whether it is a rubber ball, a rubber pipe or some kind of gasket or washer, even dock buffers, need to be manufactured by pouring liquid rubber into patterns or molds to get that shape and size. This means that almost any rubber product which needs to be customized needs to be put into a die in solid, semi-solid or even liquid state to acquire its designed pattern.
Conversely, many other products made of other kinds of materials need to be cast in rubber moldings to create fancy shapes. This is particularly true of all those fancy shaped eatables on the market. A fine example are grommets used in automobiles, electric wires, cords and ropes and even in furniture, surgical instruments and crafts to keep things positioned. Rubber moldings offer significant benefits, and there are myriad products to dampen vibration, improve performance and even increase the lifespan of various products.

... It is critical that you use the right rubber for your application. For instance, natural rubber is only a good solution in applications where temperatures do not exceed 150 degrees Fahrenheit. In addition, if oil immersion is a concern, then natural rubber is not a good solution, as it will degrade. Rubber moldings can, of course, be made of neoprene rubber or polyurethane. Producing quality rubber moldings is a complex process. So it means you should deal with a manufacturer who has in-depth knowledge of the requisite engineering principles.
Of these products dock buffers need to be rugged since they have to face harsh conditions on a day-to-day basis. Remember that dock buffers are basically mobile yard ramps. They are needed by transporters on a regular basis as every warehouse may not be large enough to have a permanent docking area. They can be attached to the back of a truck or container and used where necessary to making the unloading process swifter.
