The Indian education system is one of the most dynamic systems all across the world. Divided into various levels and sub levels, this education system helps in making a student bright and successful professional career. In this article, we will discuss about the detailed break up of Indian education pattern and system.
Education system and pattern in India is one of the ways that brings an upward mobility in the society. As we all know, good education is the stepping stone to a flourishing and high flying professional career, so it becomes all the more important to maintain its quality level. Indian education pattern and system at present represents an immense inconsistency. Talking on these lines, one hand, the IIT and IIM are those educational institutes, which are among the best institutes all over the world and secondly, there are a number b schools in India, that lack even basic infrastructure. This means that the system inherent strength of Indian education and thus portrays a bigger picture on global educational stage.
After having collected the basic information regarding the evolution and developments of Indian education system, now comes the point of understanding the different levels of education offered to Indian population. The educational structure in India, which works on all levels, starts from preschool to postdoctoral confidence is divided into enormous proportions. If we are believe on a survey report given by international market research agency, then there 7,40,000 more formal schools, more than 3.6 million teachers working full time, there are over 175 universities offering undergraduate and graduate degrees or diplomas and almost 6000 colleges, which are associated with these universities. Well, these are figures, which include registered institutes and universities; there would be so many others as well, which are not even known to the government.
Now, coming to the break up of the level of education offered to the students, then educational structure in India is generally divided in secondary, senior secondary and higher education pattern. Going into details, the initial ten years of schooling takes you to the secondary level. At this level, all the students are provided with undifferentiated general education and thus everyone forms the same base. After having crossed this, student reaches to senior secondary, where they are taught for two years. At this level, students are provided with differentiation into academic and vocational streams. Once completed with this, it marks the end of school education. There comes the last level. In the third stage, it includes college education; students will pursue business management courses and graduate studies in their chosen field of the subjects. Education at this level gives detailed information on various career options available and thus helps students in making bright professional career.
