There was a movie entitled Wall Street, where Gordon Gekko let out a great speech on the subject of greed. In the movie, greed was said to be great, that greed actually works. But the opposite is true: one of the most basic tips of all of the spread betting tips is not to surrender to greed, for it can drive the trader to lose a lot more than what they are able to lose, and not just their money.

Here are spread betting tips which should remind you to steer clear of greed:

· First tip is to determine your budget plan. Everyone considers it a greater winning chance if bets placed are high. That would be the system. However, the sum of money in the bank will be a limiting factor. How much money is in there and if the loss is excessive, how much of that money can save you? Always control the sum of money to be placed as bets.

· A lot of shares are offered openly, but there is a need to control. Keeping track of these open positions could be difficult; there is a need for thorough investigation of knowledge before placing bets on them. Multi-tasking may indeed save you a lot of time and effort but keep in mind ...
... it could be risky in spread betting and the results will not be pleasant at all. It could get bloody.

· If you have a primary source of income like a day job, consider the sport only on a part time basis. Take care of your job by concentrating on it a lot more than just spend more of your time going online to play the game of spread betting.

· After each trade, there may other trade choices for you to choose from. So be careful about that. Remember that you had a plan when you were just starting out with the betting game. You pushed through with the plan and you obtained something. You may have all the confidence you need to cause you to win and so you accepted a new trade, however do still remember that you need strategies, plans, techniques to make things work. It is always best to plan ahead before getting caught up in spread betting. Although many think this is merely a game, it is a game true, but not for idiots. The game only benefits those who know how to play it. Success will surely not come to those who venture without fully understanding what to expect from the game.
