When you are looking for strobes, there is no dearth of options. The variations are based on the design, construction, input and output, colors and optical illuminators and various other parameters. The cost too varies over a wide spectrum from $30 to $300 depending upon how much sophistication you would want in your strobe lights and the kit that you will purchase. You can go for plain simple strobe lights or also include other kinds of emergency lighting in your kit, including marker lights, alley and takedown lights. Similarly, you may want to go for diamond mirrors, lenses, lens covers and color filters to enhance the effectiveness of your strobe lights.

Beacons are a good option for those looking for inexpensive strobes. A beacon with a cast aluminum alloy or die-cast aluminum base will be sturdy, resilient and reliable. Dual lens design is quite popular for beacons these days. You will find clear Fresnel lenses, which are extremely useful for covert operations. Smooth polycarbonate lenses in amber, blue or other colors enhance the beam coverage thus saving energy without compromising on the visibility. ...
... While the lenses enhance the beam angles, the colored filters can be used to add effectiveness to the flashing. With colored filters the beam emanating from the strobe lamp could become multicolored. The multicolored light beams especially from a gyratory beacon are hard to miss and are used extensively in fire engines and ambulances.

strobes can be mounted with magnets or even otherwise. While four floating magnets would be ideal for some light bars, stainless steel straps or adjustable swivel brackets are also popularly used. Powerful strobe warning lights flashing once every second can give you an output of 2.5 joules. There are simple warning lights with bulbs that can produce up to 8 candle-power of light. You can go for teardrop style gyratory lights as well. Roof mounted beacons can give you 360 degree visibility which is required in crowded areas or when you are leading a pack of vehicles during rescue or search operations. Multi voltage strobe lights come with DC power supply with voltage range varying between 12 to 110V.

strobes are used as warning lights for vehicles and boats, along with side marker lights or halogen flash lights. LED strobe lights are energy saving and are more reliable besides being useful in all kinds of weather conditions. Chrome Fresnel reflectors and diamond mirrors are used with strobe lights to magnify the light beams multiple times. Advanced strobe lights even have optical sensors which can control the output. Heavy duty strobe lights come with high impact resistant encapsulation which makes them highly reliable. For less than $100, you can also find high intensity strobe lights, some with useful features like intensity control. You can also purchase mini strobe bars with 2 strobe lamps along with replaceable polycarbonate lenses for additional efficiency. Concealed or hideaway strobe light heads for unmarked vehicles are also available at prices less than $100, thus giving multiple options for emergency lighting.
