Basking on the Mediterranean coast south of Barcelona amid rugged mountains and glorious orange groves, the city boasts impressive futuristic architecture, neon-lit fountains, a colorful old town and a bustling beach. Being the most beautiful city of the Mediterranean Spain, it offers various attractions for tourists to enjoy on their vacation.

Valencia is emerging as one of the nation’s most progressive cities. It continues to reinvent itself at a heady pace and is well on the way to equaling the cosmopolitan vitality of Barcelona and the cultural variety of Madrid.

The easiest way to explore the city is a car hire in Valencia, or in the central areas, on foot. For a real taste of Valencia, try its famous nightlife, arrive during March's Las Fallas festival or try local firewater, Agua de Valencia. In the last decade or so, the vast, iconic Ciudad de las Artes y Ciencias – has emerged, ...
... a metro has opened and dozens of hip new bars, restaurants and boutiques have injected new life into the historic centre.

The city has a rich heritage, which is impressed in the beautiful and extended historic center. Its historical and monumental heritage and the diverse scenic and cultural sites make the city a great tourist destination. The most representative Valencian monuments are The Miguelete, the Cathedral, the Serrano's and Quart's Towers, the Lonja de la Seda, and The city of Arts and Sciences. Some of these monuments were declared World Heritage sites by UNESCO in 1996.

Besides the archeological monuments, Valencia is known as the city of the flowers, as it counts with many beautiful landscapes, gardens and parks such as the Turia garden, the Botanic Garden, The Royal Gardens and the Ayora Garden among others. Valencia is also famous for its marvelous museums, among the most representatives we must mention: The Museum of Fine Arts in Valencia, City of Arts and Sciences, Prehistory Museum of Valencia, The cathedral museum, Institute of Modern Art of Valencia.

Valencia is growing rapidly becoming an economic and financial leader in Spain; this progress is result of tourism and the construction industry. One of these constructions was the city of Arts and Sciences that was designed by Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela and constructed by the engineers Alberto Domingo y Carlos Lázaro; it attracts more than 4 million people each year. The oldest part of the city is almost entirely encircled by a great loop of the Rio Turia, now a landscaped riverbed park. The ancient stone bridges remain, but the riverbed now houses cycle ways, footpaths and football pitches as well as the astonishing Ciudad de las Artes y Ciencias, Europe's largest cultural complex.

Sun bathe on the Valencia’s main beach the Playa de la Malvarrosa to the east of the city center, which becomes Playa de las Arenas at its southern end. Valencia has a very lively nightlife and you are ensured a good night out in a friendly and homely ambience. Nightlife here is more than just a nice party. It is a cultural experience as Valencian nightlife is unique in many different ways and as such famous throughout Spain.
