Samsung Galaxy S2 Will Make Everybody Realise This Dream Of Having Social Networking Connectivity

Back when the original iPhone was launched in 2007, it was hard to conceive a mobile phone that would break the supremacy of the iPhone in the near future. The vision proved to be more than correct, as the subsequent versions of the iPhone held their own in the high-end smartphone segment. The launch of the Samsung Galaxy S provided some hope that it could finally come to an end, but the iPhone 4 was just too good for the Samsung Galaxy S. Now, Samsung are coming up with the second iteration of the Samsung Galaxy S – the Samsung Galaxy S2 – and it looks like they have finally cracked the nut.
The Samsung Galaxy S2 has done this not by virtue of phone features, but with the combination of plenty of new features, which almost render the iPhone 4 as primitive. The best example for this can be seen in the display alone. While the Apple iPhone has struggled to improve the display size from 3.5 inches, Samsung has successfully integrated the 4.3 inch unit in the Samsung Galaxy S2. Despite this, the phone does not feel bulky or huge when ...
... it is being held in your hands. This is because it is incredibly light at 116 g, while the thickness of the phone is also equally good at just 8.5 mm. This is currently made it to the thinnest phone in the market ahead of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc at 8.7 mm. The Samsung Galaxy S2 not only provides a massive 4.3 inch unit, but it also makes the display look good due to the intervention of the Super AMOLED Plus display technology.
This next-generation technology provides the phone with the necessary impetus to provide up to 480 x 800 pixels in terms of resolution and colour saturation of the highest order. One need not mention anything regarding the contrast ratio or the brightness because it is a well known fact that the AMOLED technology delivers these in abundance. The presence of this technology provides the Samsung Galaxy S2 with the necessary ammunition to take on the retina display technology of the iPhone 4. However, it is only when you go through the other features of the Samsung Galaxy S2 that you realise that the iPhone 4 is no longer the contenders for this phone. In fact, there's no other phone that can compete with the Samsung Galaxy S2 on the features front.
The phone comes with a 1.2 GHz dual core A9 Cortex processor that is combined with Mali-400MP GPU to deliver outstanding performance. It is a well-known fact that the Adreno GPU has never delivered the same kind of performance that a high end smartphone needs. It is for this reason that Samsung has shifted towards the Mali GPU and has also provided the Cortex processor in place of the snapdragon units seen in many phones. The Samsung Galaxy S2 retails for around £ 490 in the United Kingdom without any contracts.
