There are several reasons for weight gain and each is rather simple, but surprisingly very few people are aware of them. People do not gain weight for not exercising, although this can contribute to the cause. The true reasons for weight gain include eating the wrong foods, the wrong types of calories per meal, and eating in the wrong patterns of the day.

The food that you put into your body can either make you thin or fat, it is up to you. It may seem too simple to be true, but it really does boil down to this. If you get on the proper diet and put the right kinds of nutrients into your body, you can avoid weight gain altogether.

Another factor that plays a role in whether or not you gain weight is the amount of calories you put into your body each meal. It is better to eat several small meals than it is to eat two or three large meals. The reason for this is because it gives your body time to digest the food and break it down. By overwhelming your digestive system with two or three large meals, it will not properly break down the food.

Getting up and skipping breakfast is one of the worst things you can do for yourself. You want to start the day off right and give yourself a healthy and nutritional meal. Starving yourself and jogging more is not going to help you lose weight. If you really want to lose weight, you have to eat the right foods at the right times of the day. By doing this, you will be able to burn the calories better and digest your food properly. All you have to do is reverse the cycle that you have going for yourself right now. You can get slim by eating the right foods at the right intervals.
