A blue collar worker belongs to that member of working class  in which manual labor is performed by the members and usually wage in earned on hourly basis. They differ from other classes such as white color job holders as their job is not under the category of manual labor. Their main areas of work include construction trades, mechanical and maintenance work, repair, building and manufacturing to mention a few.

A blue color has significance as the blue color compensates the color of the dirt. Since these workers do field work, even the high class professionals can’t catch up with them in certain premises. The changes in the environment of corporate and also those of some organizational factors also act as a negative factor for their upward mobility.

These categories workers are not showy and spectacular. They are really hardworking and dedicated. The group shows a high presence in the work force of the present world. The most highly talented workers can even come out with fruitful salaries even nearly of that of white collar jobs. Opportunity is never a constraint to them because they form the basic platform on which every idea is to be implemented.
