Micro RC Helicopter has caught fancy of many in past few years. To put it simply it’s all about controlling a helicopter through a radio control. The channel counts in each Micro RC helicopter is the most distinguishing character. The more the number of channels the more functions it gives. For e.g. one channel can control the altitude of the helicopter. The Second can rotate the helicopter. The third can move the helicopter backwards and forward. Further with the fourth channel the helicopter can move in the sideways. For those who love to do stunts with their helicopters there are 5th & 6th channels which can be used to twist and turn as per requirement. In some models there are buttons which can remotely control the lighting of the helicopter.
 
In general most of the helicopters have 3 to 4 channels. As the number of channels increase the controlling becomes difficult. It is advised by the experts that the beginners should first start using helicopters with three channels. A beginner can enjoy the flying with 3 channels indoors without much experience in flying. Once the user is familiar with flying with 3 channels then he can go in for four channels. The helicopter can be controlled with the help of two types of remotes i.e. radio controlled and infra red. In case of infra red antenna is not required.
