The red fort houses of many stunning places like Khaas Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Diwan-e-am, Diwan-e-Khas, Jehangir Palace, Pearl Mosque and Musamman Burj. This mighty fort served as a palace during the reign of the mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. It is located 2.5 km far from the Taj Mahal.
Fatehpur Sikri
It was an estranged capital of the mughal emperor Akbar, located on the highway of Agra – Japur at distance of 32 km from the Agra city. Fatehpur Sikri houses many beautiful places like the tomb of a Sufi Saint Salim Chisti, Diwan-e-Khas, Diwan-e-Aam, Birbal’s house etc.
Akber’s Tomb at Sikandra
At the distance 13 km afar the Agra Fort, Sikandra is located on the highway of Agra – Mathura which is known as the birth place of Lord Krishna. Sikandra is known for Akbar’s Tomb. The textile nature of the emperor obviously and magnificently reflects in his own crypt. It’s a fine blend of Hindu, Islamic, Buddhist, Jain and Christian styles of architecture.
