The word Technology is a new fashion. There is a stereotypical thought process that follows the mention of the word Fashion. The thoughts: Supermodels strutting the catwalk, sensational designers traveling from NYC to Paris in a day, snobby attitudes, expensive clothing, and of course, money. Throughout history, fashion has had a significant role in our culture and continues to do so today. The Fashion Industry has impacted not only the clothes we wear but even the attitude that we carry. The word fashion has no definition to it. For example: Dictionary.com states that the Fashion Industry is made up of the "makers and sellers of fashionable clothing." But in reality, this billion-dollar industry is much more than such a simple definition. The Fashion Industry is made up of a mass amount of people, places, etc. There are sellers, buyers, and many types of stores. There are entrepreneurs, fashion designers, fashion critics, models, stylists, artists, and assistants of every sort. Fashion can be found anywhere and everywhere and because of these many people involved, it is obvious that worldwide the Fashion Industry employs millions ...
... of people. For some, fashion may just be a career in the top fashion institutes, but when looking at people in the Fashion Industry from a sociological point of view- it is obvious that for many, fashion is life, fashion is soul, fashion is there in their blood. You tell it or not but fashion can speak, fashion could be a nice feeling. I know I have been making all hyperbole statements, but I am sure these statements are relevant.
Fashion is a multi-billion-dollar industry that has considerable impact on the way ordinary people clothe themselves. As fashion is trend-driven and fashion blogs provide a new way to follow these trends, it is likely they will have a considerable long-term influence on the industry.
These are some of the things fashion journalists have said about fashion blogs and the impact they are having on the industry:
• "These days, to have one finger on the fashion pulse, you need to have the other one on your computer mouse, reading (or writing) the latest blogs.
• "Before a designer’s runway show has even finished, you can bet your bottom dollar that someone in the audience – or better still, backstage – has recorded every silhouette, signature shoe, styling detail and sulking supermodel, then uploaded it onto the internet for style watchers across the globe to Enjoy."
