Laptops in its existing avatar is doing pretty well in the sales chart but new forms of Notebook computing such as Tablet PC’s and Netbooks are fast catching up with Notebook sales. Stiff and tight competition in the Laptop market has created several plus points for potential buyers as they are now exposed to a market with almost limitless possibilities in terms of pricing and or extra hardware and software components and most importantly different brand choice.

One of the most heard names in Personal computing is Acer, the Taiwanese computer giant that now has global presence in over a 100 different nations. The company managed to grab a decent share in the global laptop market by introducing models that were high on features but low in price. They did not compromise on product quality while reducing their prices and this factor seemed beneficial for Acer as they began to clock in good numbers in terms of sales. Today ...
... we take some time to compare 2 models of Acer that are now selling like hot cakes in the market.
The models we were talking about are Acer Aspire 5336 and Acer Aspire 5553. Both are 15.6 inch display screen configured notebook models that are at the moment doing good sales. The Acer Aspire 5336 is an entry level laptop that can be easily afforded by many whereas the Acer aspire 5553 is a slightly upmarket model that normally suits buyers who like to shell out a few extra pounds to get the best deals in their city. Nevertheless both the models exhibit remarkable levels of quality and are abundant in features.

The Acer Aspire 5336 is powered by an Intel Celeron processor whereas the Acer Aspire 5553 has an AMD Phenom 2 processor which is undoubtedly the faster of the two variants. On the RAM segment both of them are equipped with 3 GB of RAM each and on the performance front the Aspire 5553 tips the 5336 because of more powerful processor being knitted beneath the skin. Both offer 320 GB of onboard internal storage which is quite insufficient for today’s youngsters who download and save tons of Blu-Ray movies and Games on their Notebooks and thus would desire a minimum of 500 GB of hardisk space on their laptops. The Aspire 5553 has a dedicated graphics card that enables it to perform better on multimedia functionalities and thus offer greater performance standards in gaming and video viewing.
Both the Notebooks have Genuine Windows 7 Home premium 64 Bit Operating systems installed on them and thus you can experience the full blown Windows functionalities in addition to several standard software which are freely available on either laptops.
