Why Not To Choose A Right Career Before Selecting A Graduate School ?

I have personally trained number of students from different colleges all across the country, especially from northern part of India before writing my review. There was a time when education use to secure our career after achieving a degree, whether it was Engineering or Graduation in Arts or may be any degree in hospitality, everyone was so sure that they have selected the right course with bright future ahead regarding their career. Now days the scenario is changed, every student has its own perceptions before entering into a college. They are totally misguided by the good looking councilors or their own friends who for their own interest drag them in to the same degree course which they have selected to do. 7 among 10 students I personally interact, I feel they fell in the pull category. They are not sure what market requires when they will be graduated, however they look for what their elder brother or any cousin or may be their senior from the same college has achieved after doing the same degree course 5-10 years back.

... counsel ling them the right path according to their past educational background, they try to fill their left out seats. For vacant seats they hire the agents to grab the students from villages or small towns with higher fees. Institutions don't even care for their source of fees, their capability of achieving the degree after spending money, their job prospects. Their main attention is always towards the pre sales and sales of a college seat, instead of providing a qualification which can make our nation and country bright and overcome the other developed countries in few years. I was reading an article in newspaper where it was mentioned in the bold lines regarding one job opportunity with a university in India for a designation of Peon. It was shocking to understand that many MBA's and few PHD's have also applied for the job. We were shocked to see the unemployment or the job security in private sector, but we didn't force our education system to be changed and updated according to the current MNC's requirement policies and upcoming market trends. By imparting such changes in degree colleges, we can ensure better future for our young generation.
This could not be an easy task to achieve in days, however I feel that the most influential and designated people should step up and discuss this issue of better education system at war foot. No country can be prosperous without a talented youth who all are settled on their respective jobs. My suggestion to students will be to look for a training institute not a business place where they will get degree after spending huge money out of their parent's hard earned money. Students should feel the interest of the specific field before entering any degree course.
