There is a reason why LED lightbar is so popular and is being used for such a wide array of purposes. Whether it is decorative lighting in a house, special effects lighting for parties and celebrations or emergency vehicle lighting, the light bar proves to be quite a handful with its sophisticated features that can be operated with relative ease. The greatest variety in light bars is offered in terms of the lighting output. You can combine 3mm, 5mm or 10mm LEDs. You can assemble arrays comprising of dozens of such LEDs. You can also configure several LED modules together with front facing and rear facing lights.

You can combine LEDs of different colors like amber, blue, red and green. You can use colored filters to get multicolored beams with simple clear LEDs and polycarbonate lenses. All this advancement in LED technology has greatly helped to enhance the quality of lighting at your disposal. You can use LED lightbar with flash patterns that are controlled with microcontroller chips. You can control the LED modules separately. This gives you two benefits. Firstly, you can combine three different LED modules ...
... to create a single light bar for an emergency vehicle, with each module flashing a different light. The second benefit is that you can replace each of the modules separately if they are malfunctioning at any given point of time.

The usability and operational ease is another big advantage of the LED lightbar. For example, you can easily toggle between the various strobe patterns available in your light bar. You can switch from one pattern to another whenever required. You can also lock the pattern you are using so that it cannot be changed accidentally. Non-volatile memory also stores the pattern that you used last, ideal for fire rescue vehicles that are used frequently. Optional traffic advisors are also available along with the standard flash patterns. These traffic advisors can be used to disperse crowds from the site of an accident or fire and redirect traffic to clear way for rescue vehicles.

Another interesting variety seen in LED lightbar is the design. The modular design not only allows you to access individual components with ease, but also replace them when they aren’t functioning properly. The sleek design, with classic proportions allows you to make changes and upgrades in your emergency lighting system from time to time without spending too much time or effort on it. In fact, the operational ease has been enhanced through special interconnect wires and harness features. Advanced light bars even come with wireless access to the light controller chip that helps you get rid of complex circuitry. You can combine 4, 6, 8 or even 12 light heads or LED modules depending on how much light you need. Dimmer, blackout, flicker and static modes are available with these LEDs so that you can use them depending upon the requirement that you have. These modes can be used alternatively to save energy and lower your lighting costs, especially when bright lighting or flashing isn’t required.
