The Good, The Bad and the Ugly…

The Good, beyond that it just works, is that Build My Rank is a very clean network. Now, this also is the Bad as well… (it’s really a matter of perspective now isn’t it?) Build My Rank is very rigorous about policing its content and making sure that it is not spun content or duplicate content. Furthermore they inspect titles to make sure they’re adequate and check for grammar and spelling errors as well. Build My Rank also requires more content per link that most competing networks at 150 words per link as opposed to competitors like Linkvana that only require 100 words. But the fact of the matter is that that extra 50% makes a difference. It’s the difference between an ample size blurb of content and what is highly suspect as just a spam post for a link. So, while this may have the drawback of making your content efforts more expensive (no spun content, higher quality content), in the end this is really for your best interests.

We’ve worked with the owner, John, pretty closely from the beginning and have been impressed by his unyielding commitment to building the highest quality network out there. And so far, he has. The “Ugly truth” about most of these networks is that while you might initially get some links, they may not stay around. One of the other things that has impressed us over the past six months is the continued improvements that have been released on Build My Rank – some of them pretty ground breaking. For example, Build My Rank allows you to batch upload your content via a simple CSV (comma separated value) text file. Now, this may not seem ground breaking, but consider the time factor of how long it would take to post 200 articles to Linkvana and then compare that to Build My Rank where it is a simple upload and “done”. I don’t know of any other service out there that makes it so easy to deal with management of your content and outsourcing of your efforts. For one, you can just order content directly from them and have it uploaded into your account automatically in just a few days – much faster than the industry norms, by the way. But most everyone does this. But what Build My Rank has done differently is that they allow you to create writer accounts that have access (limited access) to your account so that they can upload content as well. This is very powerful from a couple of different angles. For one you could simply hire your own VA to upload content or write and upload content for you. Conclusion

Our recommendation is that if you are doing any degree of SEO at all that you should add Build My Rank to your arsenal. Don’t make the all too common mistake of thinking that SEO is about “one tool” or “one magic service”. We are not saying that and do not condone that mentality. We fully believe that effective long-term SEO is about diversity and maintaining a natural linkbuilding profile. That means you should be doing a variety of linkbuilding activities, not just relying on ONE tool or service. Build My Rank should be one of those, but not your only one.
