The BlackBerry Curve 9360 and the BlackBerry Torch 9860 are the two phones that are set to become the important ingredients for the success of the BlackBerry in the forthcoming months. The company has been struggling a lot in terms of the attractiveness of their phones, but the BlackBerry Curve 9360 and the BlackBerry Torch 9860 would once again put them back into the spotlight. Not only does these two phones come with the latest BlackBerry OS 7, but they also offer the ability to extract the best out of the phone as well.

The BlackBerry Curve 9360 is a mobile phone that is more suited towards the business phone segment, which is quite competitive due to the entry of number of manufacturers like Samsung and HTC. Previously, BlackBerry used to be the undisputed king in this segment, but it is not the case anymore. The phone will provide some of the best features in this segment in order to recapture the segment once again. The presence of a 2.44 inch non-touchscreen display is perhaps the detractor from the fact that the phone has a ...
... variety of features, which primarily includes the physical full QWERTY keyboard. This keyboard definitely feels and looks extremely good, and it needs to be because it is the first feature that any businessman would be looking for in their business phone.

The BlackBerry Torch 9860, though, is different because it has been designed only to satisfy the features needed in the entertainment segment. As a result, the phone comes with a pretty large 3.7 inch display, which is also one of the largest ever seen on a BlackBerry phone. Providing a large display is one thing, but to provide an equally better resolution is a totally different thing. BlackBerry, though, seem to have achieved both of the two tasks with the BlackBerry Torch 9860 because the phone will be offering 480 x 800 pixels of resolution. This amount of resolution will be extremely good not only when watching movies, but also during the web browsing as well. This is going to be one crucial aspect of the phone given the fact that the new BlackBerry OS 7 will be coming with the new web browser.

The presence of the touch screen display with capacitive technology also ensures that multi-touch recognition will now be possible on the display. The usage of the 1.2 GHz processor in the BlackBerry Torch 9860 enables the phone to run the BlackBerry OS 7, which is quite high in terms of the memory requirements. As a result, the BlackBerry Torch 9860 provides 768 MB of memory. In terms of the memory available for entertainment, the BlackBerry Curve 9360 will be providing 512 MB of internal storage, while the BlackBerry Torch 9860 will be offering 4 GB of memory internally. However, both phones will offer the same external memory card support to up to 32 GB. The BlackBerry Curve 9360 and the BlackBerry Torch 9860 will be soon available in the UK.
