Jamaican Coffee At Its Finest

The rich history of Blue Mountain Coffee can be traced back to 1728, when Governor Sir Nicholas Lawes imported coffee to St. Andrew from Martinique. Since then the Coffee industry has flourished in Jamaica, currently being recognized for their Blue Mountain Coffee. Centuries later, a new discovery was made, Reggie's Roast. In the early 1990's Reggie acquired 10 acres of premium coffee farmland in New Monkland, St. Thomas. Since the acquisition, Reggie’s Roast has been creating top of the line Gourmet Coffee. What makes Reggie’s coffee so unique?
Reggie's Roast Jamaican Coffee separates itself from others because of the particular location of the farmlands in the Jamaican Blue Mountains. These lands are amongst the most sacred for coffee farmers. The rich soil, cool climate, and specific elevations of the mountains combine to make a perfect surrounding for growing the best coffee beans. The smooth aroma and unique flavor of Reggie's Roast are due to these unique conditions of the Jamaican Blue Mountains.
The differences in Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee are also due to the certifications and guidelines that ...
... must be obeyed before being considered "Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee". The Coffee Industry Board of Jamaica thoroughly investigates the farmlands before certifying the authenticity of the coffee and allowing the coffee beans to be sold. The certification makes it extremely difficult to be considered a true "Blue Mountain Coffee" and Reggie's Roast is proud to be acknowledged amongst the few. Once Reggie's Roast is certified the coffee is then exported to Reggie's coffee roasters in Linden, New Jersey. The coffee beans are transported in oak barrels in order to preserve the distinct characteristics from the Blue Mountains that make the coffee so unique. The certifications and careful transportation is why Reggie's is known as one of the premier sources for Gourmet Coffee.
Authentic Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee is a rarity in North America. In recent history, the majority of Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee has exported to the Japanese market causing only limited amounts to reach North America. Reggie’s Roast is considered one of the catalysts in introducing Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee to both North America and parts of Europe. Reggie also offers the extremely rare Jamaican Peaberry Coffee as well as a wide variety of blends that feature Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee and other Gourmet Coffees from around the world, like our Panama Blue. It is Reggie's Roast's dedication to bringing Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee to the masses, combined with a passion for gourmet coffee and premium coffee blends that makes Reggie's Roast coffee truly "Absolutely The Best Coffee In The World".
