Samsung Galaxy R And Galaxy W - Deliver Aesthetics And Performance In Equal Measure
The Samsung Galaxy W and the Samsung Galaxy R at the two phones that Samsung recently announced in order to take advantage of the huge success that the Samsung Galaxy S2 has achieved within a short span of time. Despite being only a few months old, the Samsung Galaxy S2 is already one of the best selling models of recent times, but the popularity of this phone can be taken to another level if it was to be presented at a lower price. However, the sheer amount of features present in the phone certainly does not make this possible, but elimination of some will certainly enable Samsung to take advantage of the Samsung Galaxy S2.
The Samsung Galaxy R will be the phone that will be launched as a cheaper version of the Samsung Galaxy S2, with the Samsung Galaxy W set to become the cheaper version of the Samsung Galaxy R. This is an extremely good strategy by the company, but the success of it depends upon two factors – the amount of features that are going to be offered in the two phones and the price. In terms of the former, the Samsung Galaxy ...
... R and the Samsung Galaxy W seem to have got it spot on. The former comes with the 4.2 inch display, while the Samsung Galaxy W offers the 3.8 inch unit. This makes them extremely good in their respective segments.
They both come with the same WVGA resolution, while the Samsung Galaxy W will be offering more pixel density due to the smaller screen size. The presence of the 8 GB of internal memory in the Samsung Galaxy R may be a source of concern, but it is soon eradicated by the external memory card feature. This is once again present in the Samsung Galaxy W, but the amount of internal memory that this phone will offer is not known yet. The 512 MB of RAM present in the Samsung Galaxy R may be almost 50 percentage of what is offered in the Samsung Galaxy S2, but it still makes for an excellent performance due to the 1 GHz processor present in the phone. The Samsung Galaxy R is much better than the Samsung Galaxy W in this regard, and in fact, it is much closer to the Samsung Galaxy S2 in terms of performance.
This is due to the 1 GHz dual core processor that is present alongside the 1 GB of RAM. The former is slightly slower than the unit present in the Samsung Galaxy S2, but the RAM is the same that you get in the flagship model. The Samsung Galaxy R and the Samsung Galaxy W will both provide the same five megapixel camera, with most of the features between the two also extremely close. Both these phones will also provide the front facing camera, which is extremely crucial nowadays. The Samsung Galaxy R and the Samsung Galaxy W are expected to be available in the UK shortly, with sales expected to begin later this year.
