Toughness tests are an essential and integral part of any industrial establishment. It is obvious that industrial unit is made up of complex structures and parts and in order to run smoothly and safely, it is required that the strength and integrity of the various parts and structures are maintained at the desired levels. When a plant is functioning wear and tear is quite normal and so are the different testing methodologies adopted by the engineers to ensure smooth operations.
