Some home remedies may vary from person to person. Coffee and chocolates may not go well with some women and may actually aggravate the pain. So one must know one's body type and refrain from them.

Cinnamon, most commonly available in all homes is an excellent pain reliever. It can be added to any food, or its powder can simply be sprinkled over any food or tea to give that wonderful aroma, and of course lessen the pain.

Parsley is another home ingredient that helps in regulating menstrual cycles and treating pain. It can be added to any juice, and is one of the cheapest and safest home remedies for menstrual cramps.
