It has been pretty hard during the past months to be optimistic about our economy. We have been exposed to a lot lately and if you are day trader like me I am sure you have seen how the market has reacted to all of this. Everybody has an opinion and then there is the market showing you what is really going on. No matter what people say, the market has its own way of interpreting and reacting to all of this.

Me and my trading computer have been watching these markets swing up and down and I have been trying really hard to let go and follow the trend. Remember “the trend is your friend.” As hard as it sounds, a trader should learn to detach from the news and the analysts’ thoughts. Opinions can cloud your mind and influence your ability to see what is really in front of you.

I am not saying you shouldn’t be in tune with what is happening but you should definitely try to detach from the information overload. Your trading computer setup will ultimately show you what is going on and if you learn to go with it, I promise you it will save you a lot ...
... of extra headaches when trading.

There is so much information out there and people willing to spread it that you can actually say that we purposely create a universal conscience that can be extremely influential. A lot of traders subscribe to newsletters, wire news, twitter, etc. How much information can our brains processed and still be objective? Have you wondered how much manipulation we are exposed to every day? It is too late to go back and say no to all the social media, but you can limit yourself to how much you can take in. If your trading computer could talk, what will it say? Maybe it would sound like this: “Dude, can you focus for once?”

We are becoming an ADD society. Our brains are trained to want more information and fast. People don’t want to read books anymore, it seems too slow. They want information now so they can move on to the next search. Focusing has become a challenge and for a lot of people is becoming a growing problem. As a trader, this is something that needs to be carefully cultivated. Learning to be objective and detached is a skill. Learn to distinguish good information vs just noisy information. As a gift to you, I want to give you some of this good information that will educate you and save you money when it comes to your trading computer .
