Children with high level of autism disorder, suffer from more intense and frequent loneliness, as compared to non-autistic children. The various symptoms that distinguish between an autistic child and a normal child are, autistic children usually keep away from social interactions, don’t make direct eye contacts, restricted interests, face problems while interacting i.e. while speaking, fuss a lot regarding dietary intakes, mentally are not strong enough to accept education like other normal children of their age can and be academically strong.

Autistic children of less than five year old, are less likely to exhibit social understanding, approach others spontaneously, respond to emotions and actions of a third person, communicate nonverbally by moving their hands and legs and behave hyperactively. However, they do form attachments to their primary caregivers, as they respond very well to extreme care and they grow attachments with guardians or to one of the parent who showers excessive love and warmth. They find them self secure and protected when they see them around.
