Know More About The Neurological Disorder Named Autism

Autism is one such disorder that occurs in children, in their younger ages, which causes a lot of loneliness in them. Such autistic disabled children demand for more care, affection and some understanding.
Autism is a neurological disorder that affects information processing in the brain. There are various signs in a child that projects, he/she having autism disorder, which includes impaired social interaction, depleted communication levels and repetitive behavior. All these signs are not present in the initial days of the child’s life instead they develop gradually, some autistic children develop normally in the initial stages and then regress, portraying various signs of autism. This disorder begins even before the child grows to be three years of age. Parents notice all the signs related to autism in the first two years of their child’s life itself, which gets confirmed by the time they turn three years of age.

Autism is one of the recognized disabilities in the autism spectrum, and, the others are Asperger syndrome, which raises issues related to communication and language, and Pervasive developmental disorder-not otherwise specified, is diagnosed when the entire criteria of autism and Asperger syndrome are not met.
Research about children who have grown out of autistic conditions say that, not many children with autism live independently after reaching adulthood, though some become successful as there have been reports on cases of autistic children, who have recovered and are able to lead a normal life, which the parents thought it was impossible looking at their deteriorating mental conditions during their initial growth days.
Children with high level of autism disorder, suffer from more intense and frequent loneliness, as compared to non-autistic children. The various symptoms that distinguish between an autistic child and a normal child are, autistic children usually keep away from social interactions, don’t make direct eye contacts, restricted interests, face problems while interacting i.e. while speaking, fuss a lot regarding dietary intakes, mentally are not strong enough to accept education like other normal children of their age can and be academically strong.
Autistic children of less than five year old, are less likely to exhibit social understanding, approach others spontaneously, respond to emotions and actions of a third person, communicate nonverbally by moving their hands and legs and behave hyperactively. However, they do form attachments to their primary caregivers, as they respond very well to extreme care and they grow attachments with guardians or to one of the parent who showers excessive love and warmth. They find them self secure and protected when they see them around.
