"Every guy in my workplace is very tall. I mean super really, really very tall. There was a ton of pressure to be competitive when I was hired at the local citywide newspaper. Proving myself over and over was a given as the only female reporter on the paper. I definitely wasn't going to let them get the better of me. I wanted people to look right at me and listen. Because of her, I wind up with two nice pairs of shoes. I bought a pair of purple leather pumps and a pair of solid black short pumps. Both pairs of shoes are really extremely comfy too. I was going to look stylish and professional in my new shoes at the office as well as very comfortable as well. I have taken on the job of proving that it's possible to be beautiful, smart and full of verve as well. My personality is definitely reflected in my shoes now.

I've been with the newspaper for well over a year. Shopping for shoes is more of a normal thing for me now.
