What Gardening Pots Look Best In Your Garden?

You can find gardening pots in every color, size and shape that you can think of, heavy or lightweight. Since there are so many different kinds to choose from, at a moment you might feel overwhelmed. So how do you know which one to choose?
When you have to choose a pot for your garden, first you should consider its size, the material that it is made of and its specific use. As an example, the larger containers, such as the large pots, old tubs or buckets are just great for growing vegetables, including tomatoes, vine crops and beans. The small to medium containers are most suitable for the smaller crops and herbs and for just any kind of flowers.
The majority of the plants with the exception of shrubs and trees need 6-8 inches deep pots in order to have place for their roots to grow. This is why the size of the pot that you need greatly depends on the kind of plant that you have in mind. In case you would like to plant shrubs or trees you have to be looking for deep gardening pots. On the other hand, choose hanging baskets if you would like to have trailing plants and vines.
Although just any kind of container ...
... would work, you should also take into consideration the drainage that the pot has to offer. In case there aren’t adequate drainage holes in the pot, the plant won’t be able to survive.
Besides the size, you also have to consider the materials that the pot has been made of, especially in case you are going to use it outdoors. The place that you are going to put them is also important. For instance in case you will place them on the rooftop or on the balcony, you must seek for something that it lightweight but in the same time sturdy.
In such cases you should opt for the gardening pots made of polyresin for their light weight. They look as if they have been made of stone or concrete, but in fact their weight is very light. Another advantage is that they are quite cheap and also weather resistant. The downside is that because of the light weight they are prone to tip over in windy weather. This is why you should add some rocks or other heavy objects to the bottom before planting.
You could also opt for plastic pots. They are inexpensive too and come in numerous different shapes and colors. They are able to retain the right amount of moisture, but unless they have been labeled with the UV sign, they might crack or fade due to the weather conditions. In order to avoid such situations you should place them in a sturdier container.
Since the metal gardening pots may rust or can get very hot if left outside, they are the most suitable for indoor garden, with a plastic pot inside. It is also wise to place a plastic pot inside a wooden pot.
