"Can you imagine winning your dream job only to realize that you have to drive an hour and a half just to get to it? That is the situation I found myself in recently. I didn't have a vehicle so it was dampening my excitement about the job. I did have a few Enterprise rental car coupons, so I decided to rent a car the first couple weeks. The moment that I had been waiting for had finally arrived. All the jobs that I previously had were nothing like this. It was time to start my career as a psychologist.

My life up until now had always been just barely managing to pay my bills with part-time jobs. It certainly tested my patience at times. Although a college lifestyle is all about having a tight budget. I wasn't the first to live like this, that is for sure. Thankfully, my parents threw me some money for temporary transportation. I did my part by paying for my whole college bill and they thought it would be a good graduation gift. ... car on the back burner. I didn't really need to drive anywhere when I was in high school. Then in college, all of my classes and friends were nearby enough to walk to. Having a car was just not a requirement for me. There were a bunch of times that I had wished I had my own vehicle. It would have been a lot easier, when I had to take trips home to hang out with my parents. But with all of my friends owning cars, I still did get to ride along with them. Time went fast in college and I was graduating before I knew it. It was a sudden change to adapt to at first, once I was out. Where would I choose to live? What decisions did I need to make for my life now? I'm positive you are thinking that these questions are nothing tough. But having my degree didn't mean that I was going to instantly be handed a job. It took me an extended period of searching for jobs before I found my dream job.

There were positions all across the world that I applied for. It seemed like I was going to have to live a long way from my hometown. Fortunately, it just fit that my job now is so close to my folks. Plus, I finally saw a great promotion on a new car, although it was tough to give up the car that I was renting. It was quite a bit nicer than the car I ended up getting was. The best thing was that with work I had my foot in the door, and I wasn't going anywhere."
