How to become a notary public in the United States?

The notary public is an easy role to secure in most of the states. Generally it requires the applicant to pass a test and complete the formalities for background check. There are some common guidelines which is mandatory in whole United States while some guidelines can vary from state to state.

• Should be 18 years old
• Permanent resident of United States
• Should have no criminal history.

These are the mandatory requirements while there are some other possible steps include undergoing a well designed educational course, filling out a sample notary form, paying fee to the certifying authority, taking an oath at office of the county clerks ...

Generally notary public holds the position for four years but it may vary from state to state. The revalidation can be done via a mail or in person to an authorizing clerk after reviewing the past performance.
