The majority of women suffer hair loss. There are many causes of such hair loss; many women suffer hair loss after child birth. In case of any serious accident or illness which involves invasive surgery women can experience Female Pattern Baldness. Female Hair Loss is a very common problem and a large proportion of women between the ages of 25 -40 are affected by it but Female Pattern Baldness is a genetic form of Female Hair Loss.

Female Pattern Baldness is also known as Androgenetic alopecia. It is a genetic form of female hair loss which is generally passed on from parent to child. It is not different from male pattern baldness and occurs slowly. Female Pattern Baldness is a very serious form of Female Hair Loss because unlike others it gets severe with passage of time, until and unless it is treated with an effective hair loss treatment. You have chances of suffering Female Pattern Baldness if both your parents have hair loss gene.

The Female Pattern Baldness as the name suggests follows a pattern in the process of hair loss. Firstly, a person experiences diffuse balding. In diffuse ...
... balding a large number of hairs are lost from all over the scalp. This results in thin hair and in some cases it leads to thinning of hair drastically. Then the hairs following the line of the central parting fall out and as the time passes by the parting will expand sideways resulting in complete baldness. Female Pattern Baldness is curable in some cases but it is important to notice it early. If you see that your hair loss is not same as the general Female Hair Loss then the first thing you should do is to take an appointment from a well qualified trichologist. Today, there are many companies which offer hair loss treatments and make promises to cure Female Pattern Baldness but it is important to do proper research before using any products.

There are many other causes of Female Hair Loss like:

Stress- Stress is a very important cause of Female Hair Loss because increased stress can have an affect on the production of oestrogen and as a result the production of testosterone will not increase, thus, the effect of testosterone on the body will strengthen as there is less oestrogen to defend against it. This testosterone then attacks the hair follicles reducing their ability to produce hairs and replace those which have fallen.

Pregnancy- Another important cause of Female Hair Loss is pregnancy. During pregnancy the oestrogen levels in the body increases which slows down the normal hair growth. Thus, due to slowing down of normal hair growth make your hair appear thick and lustrous during pregnancy. Hair loss in pregnancy occurs after the child birth. This happens due change in hormonal levels.

Anaemia-Female Hair Loss also occurs due to low blood pressure, lack of iron, poor blood circulation and low levels of Ferritin. Hairs may become thinner and lighter, more brittle.

Apart from these there are many other causes of hair loss, however if treated at a proper time then Female Pattern Baldness and Female Hair Loss can be cured.
