Flyers may just be a piece of paper but do not discount the information contained therein. It could be the local event that you have been waiting for, the special bargain sale that you would like to see, or it could be about a missing person that you actually saw recently. If you are the organizer and would want to endeavor to get into flyer printing, you will realize that it is an easy thing to do. You just need a layout, a master copy, and a mimeographing or a risographing supplier. Now you have your flyers, you wonder, where do I distribute them? Below are some ideas where you can get your flyers to have maximum exposure and get your message across.

1. Strategic Places. You can talk to some establishments where you can possibly leave your flyers so that people can just pick them up. Or you can leave them in cafes where the cashier hands out a flyer along with the receipt. Just make sure that you seek the approval of the owner or the manager before leaving your flyers. 2. Bike boy. You can also hire a bike boy who will distribute the flyers for you. You can pay him for the project, like if he gets to finish distributing a number of reams he gets to be paid a certain amount you both agreed. You will have to be specific with your instructions. You can tell him to deliver the fliers directly at the mail box or you can assign him to insert the fliers under the wipers of parked cars. You can even limit the time and area, like he can distribute during a Sunday and position himself in churches. You will have to find out the schedule of masses or worship services and get him to go there and insert the fliers in the car wipers while the parishioners are inside the church.

3. Street distribution. You may also hire somebody to distribute the flyers in the streets. Give him instructions where to stay at different times of the day. For example, you tell him to position himself in the train section in the morning and in the afternoon, when people are going to and from work. Or you may want him to stay in one area only. Tell him to give out flyers to passersby, to be nice, and not to be discouraged if people will not receive the flyers. If there are people who are going to throw away the flyers on the floor, then tell him to pick them up so that they will not loiter the streets.

4. Insertion in the local daily. You might also contact the distributor of your local paper. They sometimes accept insertions in their paper for a fee. You may also want to limit the recipients of your flyers. The newspaper depot already has a set number of copies distributed in a certain area. You may specify the areas where you want your fliers to go to. You will just have to ask them for the number of newspapers distributed in the area so that you can give them the exact number of flyers for insertion. This will make your flyer printing exacting so that there will not be a lot of wastage.
