A study done over 30 years shows that those who drink coffee have a much lower chance of contacting Parkinson’s Disease. Those who reported drinking 3-5 cups of coffee daily were 65% less likely to develop dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, compared with nondrinkers or occasional coffee drinkers.
Studies have shown that those who drink coffee are 50 percent less likely to suffer from cancer. Most specifically studied were breast, rectal and colon cancers. 2 or more cups of coffee per day can reduce the risk of colon cancer by 25%. A 12-year study on Japanese women found that drinking 3 or more cups of coffee per day may actually halve the risk of developing colon cancer.
