We probably all know the situation: You hold the aces, the flop is looking well, you bet and get a few calls. The turn does not change anything. You go all-in and get a call again. Showdown. You have a great chance of winning. The river changes everything, you lose your whole bankroll due to a bad beat.

The Bad Beat Guard is a tool to protect players from a bad beat, who are in an all-in situation. If you get a bad beat in an all-in situation, you get back the money you invested. The winner of the hand only gets the remainder of the pot.

On the various tables the Bad Beat Guard is set at a certain percentage, at least 70%, prior to starting the table. The calculation of win probability includes the probability of winning by a tie. Therefore, a player with 64.74% probability to win outright and 5.65% probability to win by tie, will show a win probably of 70.39%.

If you take a qualifying bad beat in a main or side pot, you’ll be refunded the entire wager you committed to that pot. The calculation of win probability includes the hole cards of players who contributed to the contested pot and still remain ...
... at the showdown, as well as the community cards shown at the point of the hand when the relevant all-in wager was made for that pot.

Another new offer on herculespoker.com are the so-called Cap Tables. Cap tables allow you to enjoy No-Limit and Pot-Limit games without the risk of losing all your bankroll in one hand. Hands on Cap Tables are played exactly as in regular No-Limit and Pot-Limit games. Here is the catch: once the betting cap is reached, all active players in the hand will be considered all-in only with the ability to match the bet that reached the cap.

For example, if you’re in a $60 Cap game with $400 in bankroll, you may only wager up to $60 of your stack on a single hand, including pre-flop and post-flop plays. A great way to protect your bankroll from being lost in only one hand.
