A corporation is more than a bunch of individuals who have been thrown together by fate to create a work force. They are members of teams that work together to provide security and a reliable work place for all. The members of the management have to provide all the different teams ways to become connected, and to build team trust and support among the employees. It can also refer to the office Christmas party that is held each year at the end of the work period before the company takes a Christmas break. It is always best at these types of events to eliminate the usage of alcoholic beverages. When people drink alcohol they lose inhibitions, and they do and say things that should not be done or said. Try to plan for a party that either has no alcohol, or has a limited amount of alcohol allowed. There can and will be just as much fun without the indulgence of alcohol.
Some companies try to plan their parties around a charity based idea like providing toys for needy children, or collecting food to donate to the local food bank. These are wonderful ideas that allow the entire staff to participate in good works together. The doing of things to benefit others, will create a level of closeness, among the people you employ. This closeness will spill over into the next year.

The surest way to have a successful and profitable business is for you to invest the time in providing your employees a good place to work. You have to make each member of the team like coming to the office, instead of dreading coming to work. If people like their coworkers, and share interest with their coworkers, then they like coming to work more. It takes some trial and error before you get it all right, but once you do the results are magical.
