Choosing Photo Labs In Creating Party Invitations

If you have going to hold a party, of course, you are excited in the preparations, including the making and the sending out of party invitations. You would want to go to a commercial printer, but you know that for an intimate affair, it would not be practical or reasonable to let them handle the printing.

After all commercial printing is good only for big jobs with a lot of runs to make it economically practical. Your good option for a small number of invitations is to have your layout printed by the photo lab nearest you. Now you have two choices for this: one is to do the layout yourself and have it printed at the photo lab like a regular photograph. The good thing with this is that you can customize your layout based on your preference. You can also have a small invitation at 3R size (3.5”x 5”) or you can have a big invitation at 5R size (5” x 7”). Just make your layout in the same size as existing print sizes so that you will not have to cut the sheet anymore and save yourself the effort. Or your second choice would be to use the existing designs at the photo lab. Most shops nowadays have that touch screen machine that is standing on the side of the entrance. You can easily plug in your device and upload photos in their system. You then get to choose from any of their ready-made templates for different occasions. The machine itself will just insert your photo in the blank slot reserved for the photo. Type in the details of the event using the touchscreen feature of the machine’s monitor. Then personalize your design with embellishments (if available). When you are already satisfied with your designs, you can then proceed to printing. If you are unsure what to do, don’t hesitate to ask assistance. Better ask questions than make a mistake. Just specify how many invitations you need and the technician will process it. There may be a minimum requirement for the number of prints, but it is not too many.

If you think that photo prints are too ordinary, you may embellish them. One of the things that you can do is to laminate each one and attach a ribbon at the end with some charms. They will look like personalized bookmarks. Another one is to get a nice board and fold it in the middle to make something like a blank greeting card. Then stick the photo print on one side so that it will look like a greeting card when you put it inside an envelope. There are just so many things you can do to make your invitation more attractive and personalized.

These photo prints, even if they are already embellished, are still far cheaper than if you have them made at the commercial printer. You see, commercial printing involves a different process than photo printing. It is much more labor-intensive so if you only need a few pieces, it is not feasible. The company will have to pay so many people just to make a few pieces of prints. So the next time you have a party, the photo prints are a really great option.
