Playing together makes the act of working together go much more smoothly.

You can think of it like this, do you feel more comfortable with your friends, or with a stranger? Of course you feel more comfortable with your friends. The thing that made you friends was the activities and events that you share in common. Many friendships start over sports games, some bond over a common interest in music or a common event like a church fundraiser. All of the things that can start lasting friendships are things that had the individuals work together towards a common goal.

If your employees like each other, they feel more comfortable with each other, and they will be more productive in their positions because of this felling of being linked. As company leaders your management must use every resource they have available to them to create a work place environment that encourages employees to work together and share their experience.

Getting your management involved in the planning of events and exercises that will provide this sort of company bonding may be difficult at first. You may even have to seek outside help to create the types of events you are thinking of among your employees. You just need to know that when you invest some time getting everyone united in one goal then you will reap the benefits tenfold.
