2) Think about the people you are doing it for
Are you just doing this for your company employees or do you need prints for a lot of other people for advertising your products? Think about them and have a general group in mind to focus on. This will greatly help you pick out colors and other choices depending on what you think their preference are.
3) Look around for a good printer
Your printers are the most important thing to choose from. There are a lot of commercial printers out there and most likely all of them will want your business. Just keep in mind that not all printers are created equal. A few points you may want to consider ...

• Outstanding customer service
• After sales service
4) Start your designing
5) Things your printers what you to remember before art submission
• Art file type
Your file type depends on your printers availability to open files. If they have a particular program they are using, you may want to use the same thing to design your art. Printers prefer files that are either pdf, jpg, tiff or eps. Any other file type you may need to confirm with your printers.
• Font file
Your font file should be imbedded on your art file. It is most likely that if you are using a font that is a little unique that they will not be able to open it so be on the safe side, save your font file with your art.
• Colors
Colors that printers use are CMYK and sticking to that is the best way to able to print the actual colors you design. Have your design file converted if the colors are in RGB before submitting the file.
• Resolutions
Your design must be 300dpi or more. Any less will make it a bit blurry or pixilated which will make your prints unprofessional or even tell people that the image you used is not really yours because you don’t have a copy of the actually image and that’s why you are using such a low resolution picture.
• Print marks
Your print marks are all those various lines that will be and should be in your design. This will identify and show the printers where you want your design to be cut and which will also help you stay in a particular zone and avoiding the area that will be cut. You should make sure to keep any text or image within the caution zone only. Your trim lines may alter slightly so having no design near it will save the print from being cut.
Commercial printing is easy in reality with a little dash of work on your part just to be sure that the commercial printing company understands everything you want and you are on your way to getting the perfect professional prints.
