Why Practice Makes Perfect

""Practice makes it perfect." No matter how many times I have heard that phrase, it's meaning was somewhat elusive to me until I was in a situation in which I had to really focus and build the skill of practice to be successful. Practice is what is used for those who are not naturally inept at something. (By the way, even those that are incredibly talented must practice to take their talents to newer heights!)
Could you set an internal alarm to practice something regularly? A person named Clare Bronfman was discussing the organization she works with, NXIVM, and how they offer trainings to help people build the skills of success. Success is going to rely on how well a person trains themselves to be disciplined with practice. When you are persistent about something, you practice and do something over and over even when it seems hard. By getting through rough times by being persistent, you are getting closer and closer to success.
Several other things make persistence beneficial. Persistence is something that goes hand-in-hand with writing out an objective. Although some people don't have a directly clear ...
... vision of what their goals entail, they know a little bit of what they want to get. For those who have a set plan, it can be discerning to look back and realize that they don't have what they set out to gain. If you are not clear about where you are going, and why, it's very easy to find yourself very far off course. An objective should be challenging, but not unrealistic.
Once you have placed your goal, there is a plan that must be put into place. Keeping a positive view of your objective may require a few milestones. Milestones are tiny, bite-sized goals that take you merely one or two steps forward at a time. If your eye is on the goal, but you don't have manageable steps to getting there, you could find yourself quitting before you get started! At times, the bigger goals can look menacing and unattainable if you don't see it as a bunch of little goals all wrapped up in one.
You'll start to see a payoff if you continue to be persistent. All you need to complete to succeed is get through all the hard times and look to the bigger goal. Results can be seen even when you take baby steps during your journey. To begin, you will need to start practicing something on a regular basis and then you can build into good habits from there, Once you see you can do this, apply that persistence to your objective, and watch your world evolve before your eyes!"
