Exotic Kerala Monsoon Honeymoons

Off the ceremony, we sneaked out late night around 11:30 PM. The party was on and the friends and family were still on the rocks with dancing and merrying. Concluding a long tiring day of ceremonies followed after the wedding, we were already sick and were ready to call it a go. The party started with the most boring activity of the past one week – the gifting and photo sessions. From 6 to 9 PM we were like two statues holding evergreen smiles meeting almost everyone living in this world. One moment, I even sympathized the politicians for their fate and admired their tenacity. By 11 PM, it was me who first triggered the distress button by winking eyes at Ankush. He was apparently tired too. It appeared as though he was waiting for me to pull the string first. Well, let me pull it – I checked with Mom if we can take leave and have a quick nap before we catch the early morning flight to Cochin.
We started off at 5 AM from home and reached the airport by 6 AM. The flight is already scheduled and check-in has started as well. We hit the baggage scanning and finished the check-in in about 30 minutes. This morning, Mumbai ...
... airport seems to be seems to be the least crowded place in the world. Are will still fast asleep? While taking off at 7:30 AM, the announcement came from SpiceJet that we are on time. Great, all seem going great for Kerala honeymoon packages. All hopes on Gods Own Country, let me take a quick 2 hours nap and be fresh by the time we land in Cochin for our honeymoon in Kerala.
Ankush shook me up 5 minutes before we land. Below I could see the green cushioned landscape of Kerala. One side was the Arabian Sea with its blue tinge. The green patch below was nestled with numerous rivers as well. I counted almost three criss-crossing river streams in 5 minutes. No wonder this piece of land is so rich with beauty – it’s all due to abundance of water. I don’t think any other land is blessed with so many water bodies. Yeah, the announcements are on – we are landing in few seconds and the outside temperature is 25 degree Celsius. Back in Mumbai, my Kerala friend had told, as far as Kerala honeymoon packages are concerned, July is not humid, instead it’s one of the most pleasant seasons of the year to visit Kerala for it greenery and beauty. In that sense, this is the most suitable time in the year for honeymoon tours Kerala. Off the flight, I breathed the fresh air, walking towards the terminal and towing the bag. The Cochin airport is so well furnished and hygienic that I remembered some of the world class airports like Changi and Heathrow. It’s not as huge as them but undoubtedly full with the facilities and ambience. Walking past the security gate, I could spot the white uniformed personnel displaying a pla-card with Ankush’s name on it. He seems friendly and pleasant – the first smile was enough to reveal that. He greeted and introduced himself as Mohammed.
Driving past the highway, I was witnessing one of the most beautiful monsoon dances ever seen in life. Honeymoon tours Kerala was light enough to relish and hard enough to fill your hearts. As we checked-in to the resort in Kumarakom, we conjured this is the most beautiful piece of land on earth. Nestled with the Vembanad Lake, the resort is blessed with almost peninsular landscape. Apart from the greenery and water bodies, another specialty I found here was the presence of cranes indulging in fishing around the resort campus. Five minutes after we checked-in to the rooms, there came the rain again – there I found one of the most special aspects about this room. As we step out of the bedroom, what we enter is a meandering pool. This pool is there circling the campus, along which the rooms are built. In the rain, the pool looked magnificent. As we see, there is nothing better we should so at the moment – let’s plunge into the pool. Rain, pool, nature, Ankush – what more needed for me to love this honeymoon in Kerala?
