How To Import Dvd Movie Into Final Cut Pro For Editing

If you have a Mac computer and you are a video editing lover, iMovie is a good and free editing program for making and editing video. But if you want to do some fancy work. Final Cut Pro is the best video editing software that you must try. It’s a professional video editor but easy to use. There are many awesome Hollywood movies are made and edit by Final Cut Pro.



If you are going to make video for uploading to YouTube, and you found some cool video clips on DVD movie that you want to import into Final Cut Pro. This step by step guide will show you how to do that. Because DVD movie has CSS protected and DVD is VOB video, you have to decrypt it and convert it to MP4 video for importing into Final Cut Pro. Now, let’s start the guide.

The Tool you need is this Mac DVD to Final Cut Pro Converter. It can not only decrypt DVD and convert DVD to MP4 video for Final Cut Pro, but also convert DVD to all kinds of video for iPod, iPhone, iPad, iMovie, ...
... etc. A must have App for Mac user.

Step1. Download the Mac DVD Converter. Double click to install it and lucn the program. Put the DVD movie disc into your Mac DVD SuperDrive, and then you will see a DVD disc icon on the desktop, drag and drop it into the DVD to Final Cut Pro Converter.



Tips:

1. If you want to import DVD ISO image file, you can mount it in the Finder at first, and then load the DVD movie.

2. This program is not only a DVD Converter, you can use it as DVD Clone to copy DVD movie to Mac for backup.

Step2. Select output video format. Hit the device image button, go to 'Apple Software' and select Final Cut Pro as output format.



Tips: If you only want some certain clips from the DVD instead of the whole DVD movie. You can go to "Edit" menu and choose "Split". It will pop up the split panel. And then you can drag the slider to the exact point you want to cut the DVD movie, and click "scissors" icon. When the settings are done, close the window and click "Yes" in pop-up dialogue to save the settings.



Step3. After above steps, click “Convert” to start the conversion. When the conversion was finished, you can click "Open" to locate the converted MP4 video on your Mac hard drive. And then you can drag and drop it into Final Cut Pro for further editing. That's all, it couldn't be easier to import DVD movie into Final Cut Pro like that.
