One day, the west wind encountered the east wind, so he said to the east wind: “You see how much strength I have! Don’t you want to be like me? Whenever I want to appear, it will rain cats and dogs on the whole coast. Then people know I am coming. Almost with no efforts, I will be able to sweep away ship’s mast just by pulling gently. It is the same as how you treat dandelion. As long as I flap my wings, the billows dash against the sky. If I extend my hand, even the Pacific Ocean can be listed by me. When those people who are old weak, ill or disabled see me, they will immediately scare to hide. My strength is so great that it can drill down to their bones. People don’t know how to deal with me. As soon as they see me, they will excavate coal, chop firewood and make a fire to get warm. If I take a breath, people in what places will not tremble? Don’t you want to have the strength like me?”

The east wind said no word after listening, but his head stuck out from the clouds. As soon as he appeared, the rivers, lakes, forests, a variety of birds and beasts, and those busy people on the ground, all put on a happy ...
... smile happy and raised pleasant laughter. When he appeared, flowers in the garden were in full bloom, big and ripe fruits existed here and there in the trees, as well as large and small fields were covered with golden wheat. In the sky, clouds were leisurely floating, birds extended wings to fly freely, and people sailed in the sea happily. A picture full of beautiful and happy things and people!

Comparing with the arbitrariness, arrogance and termagancy, the appearance of the east wind brings warm, happy and beautiful scenery, full of vitality. This is the answer that the east wind gave to the west wind.
