Htc Sensation And Galaxy S2 - Make The New Levels With Class Leading Features
After its launch a few months ago, the Samsung Galaxy S2 has become the most important smartphone in the mobile phone industry. Not only has overtaken the iPhone 4 in terms of popularity, but also in terms of the sales as well. If there is one phone that can compete with this new age phone from Samsung, then it has to be the HTC Sensation. This was released a few weeks after the Samsung Galaxy S2, and it is extremely different from the Samsung phone. In terms of features, the Samsung clearly goes ahead of the HTC Sensation, but the HTC phone claws back the advantage of with regard to the price and many other aspects.
One of the best areas where the two phones meet together is in the display department where the presence of the 4.3 inch touch screen display will greet the onlookers. This is much more than the size of the display present in the iPhone 4 and the advantage is clearly shown in the resolution aspect as well. Even though the Samsung phone cannot compete with the HTC Sensation in terms of resolution, it is not too far behind. The Samsung Galaxy S2 offers 480 x 800 pixels of resolution within the 4.3 inch display, ...
... the HTC Sensation offers 960 by 540 pixels of resolution within the same display size. It may seem to be providing the advantage to the HTC Sensation, but the Galaxy S2 gets the advantage back due to the presence of the AMOLED technology.
The HTC Sensation, on the other hand, uses the tried and tested LCD technology, which may not be as good as the AMOLED units in terms of contrast ratio, but it is extremely close in every other regard. The Galaxy S2 leaps ahead of the HTC Sensation in terms of the internal memory offered by the device. The Samsung product offers the 16 GB and 32 GB options within the phone, while the external memory card option is also present. Even though the HTC Sensation offers only 1 GB of internal memory, it makes up for it by providing external memory card support. It also comes included with an 8 GB memory card unlike the Samsung phone that does not.
However, the advantage of having no significant amount of memory internally means that the initial cost of the phone will be much less than the Samsung Galaxy S2. It is one of the main reasons for many people to consider the 16 GB variant of the Galaxy S2 to be the value for money product. The Galaxy S2 and the HTC Sensation are more or less similar in terms of the connectivity features. They also very similar in the processor and the operating system present in the phone. They offer the same 1.2 GHz dual core processor and the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. While the Samsung Galaxy S2 retails for around £ 42 per month, the HTC Sensation will cost slightly less than the Samsung product.
