Tips For Baby Birthday Parties
Baby birthday parties are a hoot. The only ones that don't get excited about it until it actually happens are the babies. They don't have a clue what's going on. Even when the party gets started, they're just kind of looking around at each other wanting whatever the other ones have. One of them may be chewing on the party invitation, and the other ones are all wondering where theirs is. How come they don't get to chew on one too? Forget the baby food. They can get that at home.
Though the birthday is for a baby, guess whose bringing the babies, adults. So you have to include them in some manner, and that's mostly in the invitations. Following are a few tips that some people have found helpful.
1. You need to send out some killer invitations. I know what you're thinking. Why? Babies can't read. Yes, but their parents can. By setting the tone of the party through some really artsy invitations, the parents joy and enthusiasm rubs off on their kids a little, and you want every little thing you can get working for you. When you get a bunch of babies together anything can happen.
2. Make sure every single parent ...
... brings a camera, and have some extra batteries available. Baby birthday parties make great photo books. Get lots of pictures, and make notes of any you want to make sure that you get.
3. Play some music in the background. You can even crank it up a little. The goofier the better. The adults will enjoy it too just seeing how the babies respond to it.
4. Make sure you have plenty of cake and ice cream, enough for them to eat and play in. They'll let you know which they prefer, trust me. You won't have to ask.
5. If your baby hasn't walked before, but they're getting close to that age, just invite a few 4-5 year olds. They'll figure it out, because now they're really motivated. They want to play with the big girls and boys.
6. Keep it lively and don't let it drag on for too long. Babies are easily excited, but they're also easily bored. Bored is ok, if it means falling asleep, but sometimes it means whining and crying.
7. After they're through with the cake and ice cream (however they handled it), put a squirt gun in their hands. Make sure you get their attention, and then squirt one of them. After that, you may want to back away. They'll figure it out. The only problem now is that they don't want the party to end, but the parents do before they get stuck having to help clean up the mess.
Baby birthday parties can be one of the most fun times the adults will ever have. Hopefully the babies will enjoy it too.
I really love to go on a special occasions like birthdayoccasions
