The world of computing has evolved in the past 15-20 years so drastically and rapidly that to live up to its pace it’s difficult for a fresh user unlike professionals who have always been a part of computer may it be programming or software development. The system grew larger when the operating system started spreading in the academic circle of various institutions and universities across giving rise to more demand. Many individual users started adding their own tools to the system and passing it along to colleagues, which saw UNIX growing uniquely by the developers and then by individual user’s.

UNIX, operating system was widely used for various purposes. UNIX operating systems are widely used in servers, workstations, and mobile devices. The UNIX environment and the client server program model were essential elements in the development of the Internet and the reshaping of computing as centered in networks rather than in individual computers. UNIX was designed to be portable, multi-tasking and multi-user in a time-sharing configuration. Unix systems are characterized by various concepts: the use of plain text for storing data, a hierarchical file system, treating devices and certain types of inter-process communication (IPC) as files and the use of a large number of software tools.

In the realm of computing, the world has noticed many developments which have made the life of many individuals much simpler and technically equipped to be able to lead an easy life in which most of the things can be operated technically. The engineers behind all these inventions and developments have to be well educated as well as well trained to keep oneself at the edge due to the new developments that keep emerging to bring in more revolution.
