Business as a term is vast and career can be sketched out of any kind of business under taken. Analysing the need of the consumer and implementing it to produce the right product defines how the IT resources can operate within the organization and boost the success of the business at the end of the day.

To run a successful bussiness understanding the exact need of the consumer is the basic and to make the right use of the understanding is the next step. Henceforth, the understanding and the execution leads to the output i.e. the product. The entire process of understanding and guiding through to the end result is known as bussiness analysis. Business analysis is the discipline of identifying business needs and determining solutions to business problems. Solutions often include a systems development component, but may also consist of process improvement, organizational change or strategic planning and policy development. The person who carries out this task is called a business analyst or BA.

Business analysis as a discipline has a heavy overlap with requirements analysis sometimes also called requirements engineering, but focuses on identifying the changes to an organization that are required for it to achieve strategic goals. These changes include changes to strategies, structures, policies, processes, and information systems. Strategizing and structuring the right policies and terms and informations mark the begining of success to the organization.

Bussineass analyst has to play an pivotal role in creating and maintaining the bussiness architecture by conducting feasible studies. By identifying and defining new bussiness opportunities the analysst would be offering mediums to expand for the organization. By conduction the initial risk assessment of any new bussiness opportunity or venture and by preparing the entire bussiness case he/she would make the organization walk on the right path leading towards success and all this requires planning and management for which the analyst should be capable enough to have the command over all.

As the scope of business analysis is very wide, there has been a tendency for business analysts to specialize in one of the three sets of activities which constitute the scope of business analysis, the primary role for business analysts is to identify business needs and provide solutions to business problems these are done as being a part of following set of activities – strategising, being an architect, portray as systems analyst. Business analysts contribute by analyzing objectives, processes and resources, and suggesting ways by which re-design, or improvements could be made. Business analysts, are well-versed in analyzing the strategic profile of the organization and its environment, advising senior management on suitable policies, and the effects of policy decisions. Analysing and strategising help the bussiness to find its way ascending to the peak and helping in smooth functioning.
