BMW has once again sold more vehicles compared to its closest competitors in the US luxury market such as Mercedes Benz and Toyota Motors Corp’s Lexus brand for the month of July this year.

This simply means that BMW was able to deliver more vehicles and sell these to new car finders in the US. However, this event could not only be considered as a result of the change of preferences among luxury car finders in the US.

In fact, BMW’s increase in sales could somehow be attributed to the car maker’s success in improving its vehicle’s branding as well as the subsequent provision of good auto financing options that potential buyers could use to purchase any luxury car produced by BMW.

With this recent sales accomplishment, Bayerische Motoren Werke AG’s BMW brand has widened the sales lead that it has over Mercedes Benz and Lexus. Due to this, it is quite rational to believe that it would be hard for Mercedes or Lexus to take the luxury division crown from BMW.

What ...
... Mercedes and Lexus could do for now is to improve each of their sales performance by introducing new models that would capture the attention of luxury car buyers in the US.With this, they could actually narrow down the lead that BMW has set as of the month of July this year.

However, taking the crown from BMW might be impossible since it would take a few more years before Mercedes or Lexus to grab the market shares that are currently dominated by BMW. In addition to this, it would be hard for this two to outsold BMW since the current largest luxury car maker is also introducing more luxury car models in the market just like them.

With regard to cutting down BMW’s sales lead over them, Mercedes is currently hoping that their introduction of the refreshed C-Class in the US market would help. Lexus on the other hand is also hoping to improve its sales that were ruined by the March 11 earthquake in Japan which temporarily hampered their production of luxury vehicles for the US market.

As long as Mercedes and Lexus would fail to produce more in demand luxury vehicles for their US markets, BMW will continue to enjoy its lead and probably maintain their vehicles’ in demand status in the US for a long time.
