How To Cope With Stress?
How do you know if you are suffering from stress? One simple answer is that you feel either a great apprehensive elation, if the stress is good or an intense feeling of anxiety and a great nervousness if it is negative. No matter where you are, or what the cause may be, stress can impact your environment and you in many different ways. Therefore, this stress overview will teach you how stress can affect you and how the human body and mind has evolved itself to cope better with stresses than any other animal on the planet.
Stress resonates from many places, emanating into all parts of your life from places like work, expectations, different difficulties, your personal environment, life circumstances, varied issues, relationships and even places that you least expect. However, because of the excessive amounts of pressure generally found within modern lifestyles, stress is more often seen as being negative, and biologically, the reality is that stress may even be more neutral and less negative than we imagine.
Therefore, stress can in many cases be something that we create in our minds in response to things ...
... that we are unsure of or feel unable to deal with based on a series of assumptions that we make, based on facts that are quite often non-existent. These govern our ability to sleep, eat and rest, but because we have evolved over a million years, our stress coping abilities are amongst the world’s best. As such, sometimes even the best at coping need a gentle helping hand or reminder of how to cope with stress.
Which body and mind areas are most at risk from stress? Stress can affect and put stress on the brain, nerves, joints, muscles, heart, stomach, intestines, pancreas and reproductive system. Thankfully, because we are the most evolved of all of the planetary creatures, and our brain is so quick to adapt, our neo-cortex can and will master and absorb the majority of life’s little and not so little stresses. Unlike other creatures, we can live almost anywhere and survive in almost most weather conditions, facing dangers and risks that go well beyond the daily living of most animals.
The stresses though can add up if not managed properly and as such, stress can be one of the biggest killers of human beings, far out-weighing most diseases, accidents and natural disaster statistics. So, do not sit and wait until stress kills you; stop the effects of stress now and get as much support as you can to bring yourself and your life back to normality and a sense of peace.
If you need to get rid of stress and anxiety, the information provided in this stress overview clearly shows that stress is easily managed by knowing the strategies for coping with stress. Stress does not have to rule your life and you can cope if you understand what is causing your stress and put aside assumptions about events and things that need not be as big as you first imagined them to be.
