In the past, people relied mostly on posters to make announcements or to advertise their restaurant, products, or services. Eventually, brochures took center stage as businesses realize the value of sharing more information to their readers and prospective clients. Whereas posters give some general information and highlights about the company, product, event or service, brochures can do so much more. You can put in more details there and since they are handy, people can take them home and study the information contained therein. This is especially true if people do not have time to stand around and just read posters on walls. Now, here are some tips to making an effective marketing brochures so the next time you get into brochure printing, things are easier for you.

If you have a service or product to sell, one of your most effective tools is a marketing brochure. A brochure can give a potential customer insight into your company. Describe your product and include pictures so people can see firsthand what you are offering. Write a marketing brochure and get it into the hands of the public, and see the difference it makes ...
... in company sales.

1. The first rule in writing a marketing brochure is to direct its message towards a specific target audience. When the brochure gets to the hands of your market, you expect sales from them. But if it does not speak to them, you will not move them to take out their wallets and buy your products. For example, if your product is for homemakers, then the headline and text of your brochure should read like you are writing a letter to a homemaker. So know your target market and potential customers so that you can specifically channel your brochure’s message to them.

2. Design your brochure to incorporate both text and images or graphics. But do remember that people are most likely to be drawn to pictures than lengthy descriptions. So be brief as possible without sacrificing the details of your campaign. And use attractive photographs to encourage them to buy or try out what you are selling. And because you need to capture their attention in short passages, stress the benefits of the product and avoid describing its features in detail. You may want to use testimonials of users, or maybe get a celebrity quote if you do have a celebrity endorser).

3. Write your message in a simple, conversational tone. Many brochure writers make the mistake of writing dull essays. Even if you are selling real estate, write the text in such a way that it will appeal to the sense and sensibilities of your target market. Remember, your readers are people with needs. You have to appeal to that. You have to write the text in the language that they could understand or identify with.

4. Just as you have an attractive headline, you need to have a powerful ending. The conclusion of your brochures should be able to get your customer to try out your product or to engage your services. Leave them with the feeling that they need what you are offering. And don’t forget all your contact details. People will need to know where to buy your products or the numbers that they need to call for your orders. If you have a website, highlight it so that the customer will be reminded to visit it. Writing the text for brochure printing can be tricky. It does not have to be complicated because sometimes, the simpler your text is, the better.
